Can be packed in winter, during the Chiristmas-New Year festive season. But the decoration, celebration and live music beats it all. Such energetic vibes. There are many food stalls too. Other parts of the year, its mostly empty, with a few children running around, and few groups of people sitting here and there. But it lights up during the programmes and live performances.

Today, I visited Allen Park with my colleagues ahead of the 25th December celebrations, and the experience was truly delightful. The park was beautifully lit with mesmerizing Christmas decorations that created a magical festive vibe. There were many food stalls offering a variety of treats, adding to the fun. Live singers performed western songs, which made the atmosphere even more lively and cheerful. We clicked lots of Christmas pictures and enjoyed every moment together. Overall, it was a wonderful way to soak in the festive spirit and make lovely memories with colleagues🎄✨

As a Kolkatan if one hasn't visited Allen Park during Christmas time, it's definitely a miss. The beautiful lights all over the park Street and the Allen park is a treat to watch. There were models depicting Jesus birth. Christmas carols were being played by school and college students. There were many food stalls and shops to purchase Christmas souvenirs. Kolkata police were playing a good role managing the traffics and human movements across the park Street area.

Visited Allen Park during the 2025 Christmas week and the energy was unmatched! The park was the heart of the festival with beautiful light canopies and a very detailed Nativity scene. 🎄✨ Walking through the tunnel of lights and hearing the carols live on stage made our 2025 Christmas visit so special. #Christmasfestival Park Street is a 'no-parking' zone during this time, so we had to walk quite a bit from Camac Street. It’s loud, crowded, and chaotic, but that’s exactly what makes it a 'Calcutta Christmas'.
